Since his apprenticeship as a telecommunications craftsman in 1951, the museum operator Heribert Schirmer has collected over 1,100 exhibits - 700 telephones from 15 nations and 125 years of telephone history as well as 400 radios and phono devices from 90 years of broadcasting history. From an original replica by Graham Bell (Scottish inventor of the telephone) from 1877 to today's ISDN technology.
